Studying abroad affords students a wide variety of personal, professional, and academic benefits. The programs that we offer enable our students to acquire experiences that create a bridge between knowledge and practice, develop intercultural capacity through their thinking, skills and attitudes, and provide exposure to international experts and different learning environments.
However, cost is the number one obstacle to participation. The Global Learning Access Fund was established to expand access to study abroad, especially for UCalgary’s diverse student population, many of whom are traditionally underrepresented. Help us provide students with high impact, transformational international educational experiences that expand their academic, professional, and global perspectives.
