This annual event honors Native American culture, history, and contributions through a diverse lineup of educational programs, live performances, art, and storytelling. Visitors will have the chance to engage with tribal members from across the state and explore North Carolina’s Indigenous heritage through interactive presentations, craft demonstrations, and food offerings, showcasing the rich traditions and heritage of the state’s American Indian tribes.

  • Virtual Education Day: On Friday, Nov. 22, students, teachers, and lifelong learners can participate in a free Virtual Education Day featuring presentations, including live dance and drum demonstrations.

  • Cultural Booths and Demonstrations: Guests can meet artists, historians, and cultural experts, enjoy demonstrations such as beadwork and pottery, and learn about the significance of American Indian traditions in North Carolina’s history.
  • Hands-on Activities: Families and children can take part in traditional games like corncob darts and activities that explore crafts and customs.
  • Native-Owned Food Trucks: Savor the flavors of Indigenous cuisine with a visit to the Native-owned food trucks, serving delicious staples like fry bread and other traditional dishes.
  • Artisans and Vendors: Guests are encouraged to browse and purchase authentic, handmade items from Native artists and vendors, including jewelry, pottery, textiles, and more.
