Durham Police Searching for Man Wanted in Multiple Sexual Assault Cases

DURHAM, NC — Durham Police are actively searching for Kendrick Lynn Yates, 35, who is wanted in connection with four separate sexual assault cases. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging the public to come forward with any information.

Facing Multiple Felony Charges

Yates, a Durham resident, has been formally charged with the following offenses:

  • 2 counts of Statutory Rape of a Child by an Adult
  • 1 count of Statutory Sex Offense with a Child by an Adult
  • 3 counts of Second-Degree Forcible Rape
  • 2 counts of Second-Degree Forcible Sexual Offense

Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and the involvement of minors, no further case details are being released at this time.

Durham Police believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
